    Frequently asked questions

Clear terms, fixed-price listings, and no mystery math.

What does the 30% commission cover?

The commission covers evaluation, photography, listing creation, marketplace fees, marketing, buyer communication, basic cleaning, and routine setup or restringing when needed. Shipping and separately approved repair work are itemized outside the commission.

Do I need to be local?

Yes. Intake is currently by appointment at our Benicia, California shop. Once accepted, suitable items can be marketed to buyers worldwide.

    How does pricing work?

We research the market and agree on the initial fixed asking price and minimum gross sale price with you. We do not auction consignment items, and marketplace offer features are disabled by default. Later price reductions require your approval.

How long is the consignment term?

The initial 90-day term starts when the first approved listing goes live. If the item does not sell, either party may end the consignment afterward according to the signed agreement.

What if the item needs repair?

Routine preparation is part of the service. Additional repairs follow the authorization limit in your agreement; work above that limit requires your approval.

    Will I receive updates?

Yes. We communicate major milestones and provide item-level progress and performance updates while your gear is with us.

When and how am I paid?

We pay by Zelle within 10 business days after the buyer return window closes and the transaction is fully settled. We verify your payout details before sending funds.
