Although it varies depending on the instrument, we typically provide about 60% of an instrument’s “street” value based on sold prices (list prices vs sold prices can be quite far apart!)

To illustrate, if you have a guitar in “very good” condition that’s selling for $1,000 in the market, we would offer you $600, assuming there are no maintenance issues to make the guitar ready for retail, besides a basic setup and cleaning.

Not at all, we can help facilitate trade from anywhere in the WORLD..YES, the WORLD. As we transact 90% of our inventory online, we can guide you in shipping your guitar to us and we are knowledgeable with customs and other tricky situations a guitar might encounter when being shipped (we’ve been doing this long enough, we’ve seen it all!).  Don’t worry if you have no prior experience in shipping as we can provide assistance to ensure that your guitar arrives safely to us.

Please note that if you trade in your guitar for an instrument from our inventory, we won’t be able to accommodate this request. All trades are considered final, as we would have already invested significant resources in preparing your guitar for sale. However, we can offer you store credit towards the value of your trade-in, allowing you to select another exciting instrument if you are not satisfied with the one you received. Please refer to our return policy for complete information.

Please note that California sales tax applies to all in-store purchases made within the state. However, if you are making a purchase from outside of California, tax will be deferred at the time of the sale. We are also happy to assist international buyers with their shipping needs, and can provide tax guidance as necessary. 100% safe. We assume all the risk, If something happens to your instrument while in our possession, we will cover the cost. No questions asked. As part of our consignment service, we provide insurance coverage for your instrument that safeguards against both partial and complete loss. Rest assured that we will take care of the deductible in the event of a claim.

If we could answer that question we would be super rich, haha! Some gear sells the day it gets listed, and some sits for 1+ years – but the average sale for a used guitar is 3 months.

We have a 5 day return policy from the time the guitar is delivered to the purchasing customer. We will issue your consignment payout once it clears that return window.

Our ultra-skilled tech team will handle that no problem. We include a free basic setup, cleaning, and restring in the consignment fee in order to A) make sure your guitar has the best chances of selling and B) stays consistent with our rigourous quality standards.

Repairs or mods above and beyond this will be billed at our standard rates and deducted from your consignment payout.

*We require instruments to meet our standards before they are sold, so we may require certain maintenance before listing yout instrument. This is rare, though.
