This 1981 Gibson Les Paul Heritage Series Standard-80 holds historic significance as Gibson's first formal factory attempt to recreate the classic late-1950s sunburst Les Paul. It is constructed with a figured top in sunburst finish, dual covered humbucking pickups, classic 2-volume/2-tone controls, a bound fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, and Grover tuners. Visible condition shows moderate surface scratching on the back, edge wear, light finish checking, and minor aging on hardware components.
