This vintage 10-string Portuguese viola, crafted by luthier A.M. Rose in San Leandro, California, features a distinctive dual heart-shaped soundhole design and a unique floral lower-bout inlay. The instrument is constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a ten-peg headstock configured for five double-courses. Visible wear includes minor scratches, finish checking, and a slight seam separation along the lower back edge. This instrument will need to be repaired as it is NOT currently in playing condition.
