GuitarFinds Return and Refund Policy

30-day returns

You may request a return within 30 calendar days after the item is delivered.

To qualify for a standard return, the item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, without installation, modification, or additional damage. Please include all cases, accessories, certificates, tags, and original packaging where reasonably possible.

Because much of our inventory is vintage or previously owned, normal pre-existing wear described or photographed in the product listing does not prevent a return. Proof of purchase is required.

To request authorization, contact info@guitarfinds.com before sending anything back. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.

Approved returns should be sent to:

GuitarFinds
938 Tyler Street, Suite 105
Benicia, CA 94510
United States

Approved returns may be shipped to this address or brought to our Benicia showroom by appointment.

Change-of-mind returns

For an eligible return made because you changed your mind:

  • You are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.
  • Original outbound shipping charges are nonrefundable, except where required by law.
  • A 5% restocking and handling fee will be deducted from eligible change-of-mind returns, except where prohibited by law.
  • Payment-processing fees actually retained by the payment provider may also be deducted where permitted by law.
  • Any deduction will be disclosed and itemized when your refund is processed.

We strongly recommend tracked shipping with insurance covering the item’s full purchase value. Please pack the item at least as securely as it was originally received.

You are responsible for loss or additional damage occurring during a discretionary return. Where permitted by law, documented loss in value caused by use, alteration, missing components, or inadequate return packaging may be deducted from the refund.

Damaged, defective, incorrect, or misdescribed items

Inspect your order when it arrives. Contact us promptly—preferably within 48 hours—if the item arrived damaged, is defective, is materially different from its listing, or if you received the wrong item.

Please retain the shipping carton and packing materials and provide photographs when requested. We may ask for reasonable cooperation with a carrier insurance claim. This process does not limit your applicable warranty or consumer rights.

When GuitarFinds is responsible for the return, we will provide return instructions and cover reasonable return-shipping costs. Restocking, outbound-shipping, and payment-processing deductions will not apply to an accepted claim involving an item that was damaged in transit, defective, incorrect, or materially not as described.

Items that cannot be returned

Unless the item arrived defective, incorrect, or materially not as described, returns are not accepted for:

  • Custom, personalized, or special-order products
  • Gift cards
  • Opened or used strings, reeds, harmonicas, earplugs, and other sealed hygiene-related products
  • Electronic components or parts that have been installed, soldered, modified, or damaged after delivery
  • Items clearly identified as final sale before purchase

A discounted or sale price alone does not make an item final sale. Applicable consumer rights always take precedence over these exclusions.

Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. The fastest option is to return the original item and place a separate order for the replacement.

Cancellations

Contact us immediately if you need to cancel an order. We will make a reasonable effort to stop fulfillment, but cancellation is not guaranteed after packing or shipment has begun.

For an order canceled before shipment, payment-processing fees actually retained by the payment provider may be deducted where permitted by law. Shipping and restocking fees do not apply to an order successfully canceled before fulfillment.

Refund timing

We will inspect your return and notify you whether it has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 10 calendar days after inspection.

Your bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the credit. If more than 10 calendar days have passed since we confirmed approval, contact info@guitarfinds.com.

International orders

Customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage charges, and similar destination-country fees unless otherwise stated at checkout.

If an international shipment is refused or cannot be delivered because charges were not paid, GuitarFinds may deduct the documented shipping, return, customs, brokerage, or handling costs incurred, where permitted by law. Any remaining refundable balance will be processed after the merchandise is returned and inspected. A refused shipment is not automatically treated as abandoned where applicable law provides otherwise.

EU, EEA, UK, and other mandatory consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Customers covered by EU or EEA distance-selling rules generally have 14 days after delivery to notify us that they are withdrawing from an eligible online purchase. UK customers generally have a similar 14-day notification period followed by 14 days to return the item. Different refund timing, standard-delivery refunds, exceptions, or limits on deductions may apply under those laws.

Customers normally bear change-of-mind return costs when disclosed before purchase. GuitarFinds bears applicable return costs for qualifying defective, incorrect, or misdescribed products.

Layaway purchases

Layaway purchases are also subject to the separate GuitarFinds Layaway Program terms, including its cancellation, deposit, and return provisions. Mandatory consumer rights prevail if they conflict with those terms.
