1998 Roland VS-880EX Digital Studio Workstation Multitrack Recorder

The Roland VS-880EX Digital Studio Workstation is a standalone 8-track digital recording system built with onboard digital mixing, built-in COSM multi-effects, and versatile routing options. Designed for complete tabletop recording and editing, it features dedicated channel faders, a clear backlit LCD screen, tactile transport controls, a jog shuttle wheel, SCSI interface capability, and MIDI synchronization.

Please note: The internal mechanical hard drive does not spin and requires replacement, which is a common maintenance task for hard-drive-based recording gear from this era (solid-state drive conversions via SD or CompactFlash adapter kits are popular modern upgrades). Apart from the non-spinning internal storage drive, the unit powers on and functions as intended. Included are the original box, printed manuals, and TurboStart VHS tutorial tape.
