NOS Strymon El Capistan dTape Echo Delay Pedal Midnight Edition

New Old Stock The Strymon El Capistan dTape Echo pedal delivers the warm, complex, and richly textured sound of classic vintage tape delays in a rugged, pedalboard-friendly format. Clad in the limited Midnight Edition black finish, this pedal harnesses dedicated DSP to meticulously recreate three distinct tape machine architectures: Fixed Head, Multi Head, and Single Head. Each machine mode offers three distinct operational variations, covering everything from crisp studio slapback and rhythmic multi-tap echoes to immersive Sound on Sound looping.

Hands-on controls for Time, Mix, Tape Age, Repeats, and Wow & Flutter allow precise shaping of your repeats from pristine, studio-calibrated fidelity to degraded, warbly tape decay. Secondary hidden functions unlock even deeper tone sculpting, including a dedicated spring reverb, low end contour, tape bias, and tape crinkle adjustment. Equipped with stereo outputs, tap tempo, and expression pedal connectivity, this open-box pedal offers authentic analog tape character with tour-grade digital reliability.
