This 1996 Modulus Quantum 5 features a stunning quilted maple top finished in a deep transparent red over a contoured body. It is equipped with the signature Modulus graphite carbon fiber neck for unparalleled stability and a bright, articulate tonal response. The instrument is loaded with Bartolini pickups and active electronics, showing only minor surface swirling and light play wear on the back.
The 35" scale delivers exceptional string tension and clarity, making the low B sound tight and articulate while maintaining excellent note definition across the entire fretboard. Weighing 9.35 lbs. on our postal scale, this Quantum 5 features an alder body with a figured maple top, a phenolic fingerboard, and the legendary graphite neck that Modulus is known for. The nut measures 1.89" wide with a 2.75" width at the 24th fret, providing a comfortable playing experience for both fingerstyle and slap techniques. Electronics consist of a Bartolini MBDE dual-coil neck pickup and MBCC dual-coil bridge pickup paired with a Bartolini 2-band active preamp featuring volume, balance, bass, and treble controls powered by a 9V battery. Rear body has pock marks but none to the wood. Rounding out the appointments are black hardware throughout, including black tuners and a premium black ABM brass bridge with 17mm string spacing, offering outstanding sustain, precise intonation, and rock-solid tuning stability.
