The PRS Santana III was the players Santana model. This guitar features that sweet and warm Santana tone. This guitar has a mahogany back, carved maple top, 24 fret, 24½" scale, 10" radius, East Indian rosewood fretboard, abalone bird inlay, Santana wide fat neck carve, PRS Tremolo (bar not included), 14 to 1, low-mass locking tuners, electronics and tremolo cavity cover, Santana III pickups with covers, 3 way toggle pickup selector, volume control and tone control.
A very small percent of the maple trees cut in North America are actually figured. To make "10-Top" status, a PRS top must have clearly defined figure across its entire top. A guitar designated as a 10-Top will have a small "10" written on the back of the headstock in the upper right corner. And this pretty baby, is one of 'em.
The Santana III is a dual humbucker, no frills, straight ahead rock and roll machine designed with the man himself.
