This one has a really cool, under-the-radar vibe to it that a lot of players overlook until they actually get one in their hands. You’re looking at a vintage Swedish-made piece, most likely from the late ‘60s to early ‘70s, and that “Made in Sweden” stamp on the back of the headstock is the giveaway. Brands like Hagström were putting out instruments with a ton of personality during this era, and this fits right into that world.
The body shape has that slightly offset, almost futuristic look, paired with a classic sunburst finish that keeps it grounded. Those pickups are where things get interesting, they’ve got that clear, punchy, almost hi-fi tone that cuts really well, especially for clean playing, surf, garage rock, or even indie stuff. But they also take pedals surprisingly well, so you can push it into grit and get a really unique voice that doesn’t just sound like every Strat or Les Paul out there.
