Up for sale is a vintage Fender F-1050 acoustic guitar, a lesser-known model that was actually built for Fender by Harmony in Chicago during the late 1960s to early 1970s. The F-1050 is essentially Fender's branded version of the Harmony Stella H-949, giving you the unmistakable vintage American acoustic tone and character that made these guitars a favorite among folk, country, blues, and singer-songwriters of the era. During this period Fender outsourced many of its acoustic production to Harmony, one of the largest guitar manufacturers in America, resulting in instruments that have developed a loyal following for their dry, woody voice and unmistakable vintage vibe.

This example features a beautifully aged spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides finished in a rich dark brown. The original tortoise-style pickguard, white-button Fender tuners, and distinctive Fender headstock all remain intact, giving it the classic late-'60s aesthetic. Cosmetically, the guitar shows honest play wear throughout, including scratches, finish checking, dings, and scuffs that only add to its vintage character. There is also finish wear around the neck heel and typical signs of age consistent with a well-loved instrument. Please review all photos carefully for the overall condition.

The guitar has that dry, open, vintage Harmony voice with excellent midrange presence that records beautifully and excels at fingerstyle, folk, old-time country, blues, and roots music. It has the kind of broken-in resonance that only decades of playing can produce. If you're after the polished sound of a modern acoustic, this probably isn't the guitar for you. But if you're looking for authentic vintage American tone with loads of personality, this Fender absolutely delivers.

The neck is straight and the truss rod turns in both directions. The guitar plays well up and down the neck and is ready for its next owner to enjoy. Whether you're a collector of vintage Fender oddities, a Harmony enthusiast, or simply someone looking for an affordable piece of American guitar history, this is an instrument that's becoming increasingly difficult to find in original condition.

Whoever ends up with this guitar will own a unique chapter of Fender and Harmony history. Vintage American acoustics like this continue to become harder to replace, and once you hear its warm, seasoned voice in your hands, you'll understand exactly why these Harmony-built Fenders have earned such a devoted following. You'll be glad you picked this one up before someone else does.
